Introductory Zoom Meeting with Traprock Center for Peace and Justice

After successfully getting in contact with Reverend Sarah Pirtle from the Traprock Center for Peace and Justice just 20 minutes away from Deerfield, Traprock was willing to start a project with HerStory called Roots of Peace. We went over what our project would look like and the outcomes we wish to see through our project by Zoom. Reverend Pirtle had generously prepared the questions she would ask the board before the meeting, which facilitated communication and process. Some of the questions she asked included how HerStory was created, why the board members decided to apply for this club, and what we want to make out of it. The zoom meeting spanned for approximately an hour and a half and it was so exciting to see all the other board members during summer break. I can’t wait to get this project started!
